GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay Police are noticing a pattern after investigating five armed robberies within 9 days within the city.
The latest robbery occurred early Tuesday morning at the Shell Gas Station at 2145 University Avenue. The suspect is described as a male/white 5’11” with a skinny build.
Captain Kevin Warych says there’s a strong possibility that they are all connected.
“We’re not going to know until we have information from a witness, from someone who knows something about these armed robberies, or the supect(s) themselves.”
The robberies occurred at:
- Citgo U-Pump, 1233 Velp Ave. on December 11
- Cenex, 601 N. Military Ave. on December 13
- Danz Shell, 2145 University Ave. on December 17
- Dino Shell, 1828 S. Ashland Ave. on December 17
- Danz Shell, 2145 University Ave. on December 20
Cops say all the robberies are similar in that they occur in less than a minute, the suspect wears a ski mask and flees the area in a getaway car, cutting off the scent of canine units on a nearby street. The suspect also displayed a gun in all the robberies.
