GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – An argument on Green Bay’s east side leads to shots being fired at an apartment complex.
Police say it happened in the 1600 block of Deckner Avenue when a man came out into the parking lot and opened fire into a vehicle with a woman inside.
“We were able to locate him in a nearby apartment building. Our officers surrounded that building, called that individual out and were able to take him into custody. We believe we have the individual responsible in custody now,” said Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith.
Officers say the two knew each other and the man has been arrested. No one was hurt.
The gun was located and is now in police custody.
This incident led to a brief lockdown of schools in the area including Preble High School, along with Sullivan and Danz Elementary schools. Officials lifted the lockdown by 11:30 a.m.
