TOWN OF BEAR CREEK, WI (WTAQ) – A second person has died from injuries sustained in a Waupaca County crash earlier this month.
According to the sheriff’s department, 45-year-old Catherine McNamara of Manawa has died from her injuries in the August 14 crash. 38-year-old James Stock of Bear Creek was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Highway T about a mile north of Highway 22 around 4 p.m.
Officials say McNamara was driver her vehicle south and Stock was heading northbound when one of the vehicles crossed the center line and slammed head-on with the other one. Stock was thrown from his vehicle, while McNamara had to be cut out of her vehicle before being airlifted to the hospital.
Two boys riding in McNamara’s vehicle, ages 14 and 3, were also taken to the hospital.
