No he didn't, Then again, he didn't not say it, which
makes it all perfectly Trumpian.
According to Politico, this is what Trump said:
“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish, the Second Amendment,” he said, in what appeared to be a joke. “By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I’ll tell you what, that will be a horrible day.”
Actually, this could be Trump joking about violence against Hillary Clinton. But it's such word salad, it could be anything and says really nothing. Trump has turned this tactic into an art form. So often he says something that the moment you hear it it sounds like something outrageous, as in this case. Upon closer inspection you're not sure what the hell he said.
It's hard to believe that happens by accident as often as it does. While it doesn't clearly mean what the Clinton campaign and others are claiming it does you have to ask yourself; if that's not what me meant then what the hell DID he mean?
