GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – It’s a nationwide event where people affected by cancer can come together and create a beautiful piece of artwork.
PaintFest America will be held at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center in Green Bay on Thursday, August 11th from 10 a.m. to noon.
Executive Director of St. Vincent Hospital, Sally Luehring says they are thrilled to be involved with this project.
“It was a surprise. We’re really excited that they asked us to host this and to represent our state.”
Luehring explains that there’s no need to worry about your artistic talent during this event.
“All of the supplies are provided. We have murals that are set out, ready to be painted and it’s basically a paint-by-numbers so you don’t need any artistic ability.”
PaintFest America will be making stops in all 50 states in order to reach those affected by cancer through artwork. The event is put on by the Foundation for Hospital Art.
Luehring says they’re still looking for more people to get involved.
