OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Oshkosh say a victim was able to fend off two would-be robbers, including knocking one unconscious.
Police say it happened behind a business in the 2000 block of Witzel Avenue around 10 p.m. Tuesday. Two boys, about 16 or 17-years-old, knocked on the window of the victim’s vehicle and told him to get out.
When the man got out, they had him give up his wallet and phone. The victim fought with one of the boys, eventually knocking him out. Then, the victim was able to get back into his vehicle and drive away.
According to police, the victim described the robbers as black males, both wearing t-shirts and dark-colored jeans. One of the shirts had a shiny graphic on it. One of the robbers was wearing a baseball cap. Police say the one who was knocked unconscious may have injuries to his face.
