GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Authorities say a jet skier is okay after he got stranded overnight on the beach along Long-Tail Point.
According to officials with Sturgeon Bay Coast Guard, a fishing boat called them around 8 a.m. Thursday after the man was seen flagging for help.
Officials say the man had been out on the water since Wednesday afternoon and didn’t have a working cell phone to call for help.
It’s unclear whether the jet ski ran out of gas or if the machine had a mechanical issue, Coast Guard officials say.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was brought back to safety at the Fox River Dock where he was later released.
