KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ) – Officials in Kaukauna held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for the city’s new municipal building.
The police department will move into the new 48,000 square-foot building, using more than half of the space.
A number of sustainable elements will be used on site including solar panels, LED lighting as well as geothermal heating and cooling.
The building is being paid for by revenues received from Kaukauna Utilities.
The new facility is the first project in a series that will include building a new fire station, remolding the old fire station and making upgrades to the street, park and recreation departments.
