CALUMET COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Sheriff’s officials in Calumet County say two men were rescued after their boat tipped over in Lake Winnebago Wednesday.
According to the department, the Brillion area men were fishing when their 14-foot aluminum boat tipped over around 9 a.m. Another fisherman help the men, ages 62 and 76, and took them to the east shore near Stockbridge Harbor.
A witness on shore called 911, bringing out sheriff’s deputies and the county dive team to help the men onto land. An ambulance crew checked them out, but they did not appear to be injured.
Both men were wearing life jackets.
