FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ) – It was teaching safety with some fun mixed in.
Thursday night was the 13th annual “Summer Safety Night” for the Town of Menasha and Fox Crossing.
People were able to go through anti-crime programs.
The event is meant to help bring the community together, which Officer Jason Weber says is important in keeping the area safe.
“You know, in order to keep an area relatively safe and crime free, it really takes a community to do that. You know, we as a police department can’t do that on our own, the citizens can’t do it on their own, even the businesses, it really takes all of us to come together”
Attendees were also given free bike helmets, which were provided by Neuroscience Group.
