HOWARD, WI (WTAQ) – A suspected drunk driver is lucky twice over following a crash Sunday in Howard.
The 30-year-old hit a concrete highway barrier and then jumped off a bridge and fell 43 feet to the ground below.
The man suffered two broken wrists from the impact of the jump.
Police think he didn’t realize how high the bridge was before taking the leap.
Meanwhile, police in Appleton say the driver of a car that crashed Sunday night was a teenager without a license.
The accident sent three teens to a hospital.
Authorities don’t yet know what caused the driver to lose control and leave the road, but evidence points to speed being a factor.
Five people were in the car at the time of the crash.
