GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A retired priest is pleading not guilty in connection with allegations he exposed himself to a minor.
In court Monday, Rev. Richard Thomas entered that plea to 4 counts of exposing genital area to a child. Earlier this month, Thomas waived his preliminary hearing in Brown County Circuit Court.
Thomas was living in Grellinger Hall, a home for retired priests in Allouez, when he allegedly exposed himself 4 times to a 16-year-old boy while the boy walked to school in March.
According to the criminal complaint, Thomas told investigators that, “he is already seeking treatment.”
Thomas is due back in court July 19. A trial date has not been set.
After the report of misconduct, the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay restricted Thomas from performing any public ministry.
