UNDATED (MetroSource-WSAU) A temporary shutdown of a gasoline pipeline between Milwaukee and Green Bay is not yet impacting prices at the pump. Repairs began on the pipeline in the Jackson Marsh in March. The West Shore Pipe Line Company expects the pipeline to be out of service for two months.
Governor Walker issued an energy emergency executive order last Friday. The line originates in Illinois and carries gasoline from Milwaukee to Green Bay. More gas will move via tanker-truck until normal pipeline service resumes. Walker’s order temporarily extends the hours that truck drivers can work each week to make more fuel deliveries. Drivers are still limited to no more than 12-hours before a mandatory rest period.
GasBuddy.com says prices in Green Bay are averaging $2.23 a gallon, unchanged from last week, with a range between $2.12 and $2.28.
