ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) – Some early duty for Ashwaubenon’s fire department.
The call came in at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday to Marine Technologies, 2984 Holmgren Way, for a report of a fire alarm.
Upon arrival, crews saw smoke coming from the roof line of the fiberglass business. Once firefighters entered the building they found heavy smoke conditions.
The fire was located at the rear of the building and was being contained by the sprinkler system. Officials believe a piece of machine failed and that’s what started the fire.
Crews believe the fire could have been much worse. No word on a damage amount.
The road was closed for a time while firefighters got things under control.
