Undated, WI (WTAQ) – Governor Scott Walker is off the sidelines in the Republican presidential race and has announced his endorsement for President.
“it’s time that we elect a strong new leader and I’ve chosen endorse Ted Cruz”
Walker says Ted Cruz is a constitutional conservative, is not afraid to take on special interests and is the best positioned to win the White House in November. He also plans to campaign with Cruz in Wisconsin heading into the Presidential Primary election on April 5th.
“we’ll be campaigning with him for a number of stops. we haven’t finalized the schedule but I’ll be out with him through the weekend into early next week”
Walker said he did not come to this decision easily. He prayed about it, talked about it with his family and friends.The Governor himself was a candidate for the GOP Presidential nomination, until dropping out of the race last summer.
Ted Cruz is in the number two slot of a 3 hourse race, trailing in the delegate count to New York businessman Donald Trump, but leading Ohio Governor John Kasich.
