GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) – A Wrightstown teen has been arrested after police say he went on a “burglary spree” in the Fox River Mall.
Grand Chute police say they were called Sunday night to the mall when security workers found that someone broke into a corridor in the mall.
Authorities found broken storefront windows and other evidence that someone was inside.
Grand Chute Police Captain Mike Velie says 11 stores were affected.
Police are not sure why the teen did it.
“I suspect that it was for the purpose of obtaining cash and there were indications that he may have been bored,” says Velie.
During their investigation, a 16-year-old boy came out of the Zumiez store and was arrested.
The boy is currently being held at the Brown County Juvenile Detention Center.
