WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) – A five-year prison sentence was handed down Friday for a man convicted of setting a pair of fires in New London.
Jesse McLamarrah was convicted with the May 2014 fires at apartments above the Copper Shot bar in downtown New London, along with the playground equipment outside New London High School.
Two people jumping to safety from a second-floor window at the apartment fire were injured.
The sentence breaks down as such:
* 5 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision for the two convictions of second-degree recklessly endangering safety;
* After that decade is completed, he will spend 8 years on probation for the arson and burglary convictions.
