UNDATED (WTAQ) – A man from Appleton has been sentenced to five years in federal prison on firearms charges.
The case stems from a 2015 burglary of a licensed dealer in Oshkosh where 11 guns were stolen. Prosecutors say 21-year-old Kong Vang agreed to sell several of those guns on behalf of the burglars in exchange for money or drugs.
Vang pled guilty to a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
During sentencing, the judge noted the number of guns involved, Vang’s sale of guns to people prohibited from selling them legally and his prior history of dealing drugs.
