Fond du Lac, WI (WTAQ) – Investigators are sifting through the debris of the Wayside Bar & grill in Fond du Lac to determine the cause and the origin of the fire that burned the place down Wednesday morning.
“try to eliminate potential causes of the fire until they can come to a determination as to what caused that fire”
Assistant Police Chief Steve Klien also says police, fire and the state Division of Criminal Investigation are working this case.
“they’re going to be bringing in some heavy machinery to start sifting through potential evidence”
As with recent Fond du Lac fires at the Last Stop Lanes and St. Louis Church, fencing has been put up to protect the scene and keep people out.
About a dozen fire department responded to the blaze at 295 West Division Street.
