GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A Green Bay man is facing several charges for tying up one man, choking a woman as he was looking to collect on some “bunk” crack.
32-year-old Bernard Buffalo Brisk is charged with 4 counts, including burglary, battery and false imprisonment.
According to the criminal complaint, Green Bay police were called early in the morning on January 28 for a report of a male/female disturbance in the 1500 block of Cass Street.
The woman at the scene told officers that two men forced their way into their house, tied up her fiancée’s hands with a belt and stole $42, a lighter and a pack of cigarettes.
The male victim said one of the suspects pushed him back into his bedroom door, and then pushed him to the floor. His hands were then tied behind his back using his belt. They said, “You stay down.”
The female was then grabbed by her throat and thrown off the bed into a wall. One of them said, “Bitch, you know @#$%^, she’s your friend, so you’re going to take the wrath for it.” They handed the victim her cell phone and ordered her to call @#$%^. Instead, she called 911 and yelled out her address and the man known as “Buffalo” said, “Let’s get out of here.” On their way out, they stole the cash and cigarettes off a dresser.
She told police that she got a text from another man telling her to answer his call when he was coming to the door and that about 10 minutes later, there was loud banging at the side door.
A series of text messages were shown to officers from the female victim’s phone, which accused her of selling, “Bunk crack to the man’s friend also referring to this as fake crack.” There were also prior texts asking for some, “Hard.” She told the cops that it was referring to hard alcohol.
Then last Sunday, an officer looking for Brisk located him in his girlfriend’s car. A traffic stop was performed and Brisk was arrested without incident. During a search of Brisk, a cop found a small plastic bag in his right front pants pocket. Inside the bag was green plant material which tested positive for marijuana. It weighed .25 grams.
Bernard Brisk is due back in court March 3 for a preliminary hearing. If convicted on all counts, Brisk faces about 20 years in prison.
