MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – A trailer fire in Manitowoc Thursday afternoon sends two people to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Fire crews were called to the Trails End Trailer Park, 2000 Johnston Drive, at 12:36 p.m. Residents there say they could smell smoke.
Within minutes of firefighters arriving on scene, a fire erupted in the bedroom area of trailer #210.
The 2 residents of that trailer got out safely, but did suffer from smoke inhalation. Officials say the family’s dog and cat are unaccounted for.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, but the trailer is considered a total loss.
