The Green Bay Phoenix are sprinting to the college basketball finish line. Wrapping up the regular season with a five game homestand, the Phoenix have now won the first three, roaring past Cleveland State 78-61 at the Resch Center Monday night. Trailing by two at the half, Green Bay outscored the Vikings 42-23 after intermission. Charles Cooper and Carrington Love led the way with 15 points, Jamar Hurdle added 14 off the bench and Jordan Fouse recorded his 9th double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. The Phoenix defense forced 18 turnovers and had a dozen steals, Love establishing a career high with 7. Green Bay remains in 4th place in the Horizon League with a 10-6 mark, one game ahead of Milwaukee which routed Youngstown State 87-51. The Phoenix are 18-11 overall and have two games left in the regular season, hosting UIC Friday night and Horizon League regular season champion Valparaiso on Sunday.
