OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ)- “The public really provides great input and it’s put into practice after the results are in.”
Oshkosh City Manager Mark Rohloff says it’s time for the 2016 “Citizen Survey” in the Winnebago County city.
Fifteen hundred randomly selected residents will be receiving the questionnaire in their mailboxes. Rohloff says it’s a useful tool for the Oshkosh Common Council during the budget process.
“We really look at it when we’re making budget decisions to help identify areas that might be short on quality but high on importance. That helps us identify what some of our budget priorities may need to be in the coming years.”
There are only 13 questions to answer on the survey but there are several segments. It should take about 15 minutes to fill out.
“We hope that if people can give a few moments of their time, fill it out and return it to us, then we’ll get great input on different things that are going on in the community,” says Rohloff.
This is the 8th year of the survey that’s organized by the city of Oshkosh with the help of a graduate class at UW Oshkosh.
The city would like residents who obtain the questionnaire, to fill it out and please send it back in the accompanying envelope with pre-paid postage.
