STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ) – An apartment building had to be evacuated due to a fire early Saturday in Sturgeon Bay.
Fire crews were called to the 13-unit building in the 800 block of S. Oxford Avenue around 4:15 a.m.
According to the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department, one firefighter fell through the roof. He was treated and released at the scene.
A ceiling came crashing down on 2 other firefighters during their response. Both were taken to the hospital and released with minor injuries.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
According to the Red Cross, emergency aid was given to 6 people at the scene.
No word yet on a cause or damage estimate.
