MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – A Manitowoc County deputy, who was looking for some students skipping class, found more than she expected Thursday.
The home where the kids were playing “hooky” had a crocodile in its basement.
The sickly animal was apparently being kept as a pet, so it was passed on to a wildlife organization for some veterinary care.
It will eventually be handed off to a reptile rescue group.
Nobody was arrested, but keeping large predators like that crocodile is against a Manitowoc city ordinance.
