SUAMICO, WI (WTAQ) – A boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice in the Village of Suamico.
That’s after a water main break Wednesday night in the village forced officials to issue the order. The water main was repaired around mid-day on Thursday.
Village officials says the water must pass two tests at least 18 hours apart before it can be deemed safe.
According to officials, water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute, then allowed to cool before drinking it or using it for cooking.
People who get their water from wells are not affected by this order.
