(WNFL) – Outfielder Shane Peterson, who was designated for assignment last week when the Brewers acquired outfielder Rymer Liriano in a trade with San Diego, cleared waivers and was sent outright to Class AAA Colorado Springs on Thursday. Peterson was invited to the Brewers’ spring training camp as one of 17 non-roster players. The 27-year-old outfielder hit .259 last season with two homers and 16 RBI’s. Peterson was productive as a pinch hitter. hitting .294 in that role, collecting ten hits in 34 at bats.
