Green Lake, WI (WTAQ) – Nicholas Tuinstra was convicted Monday for the murder of his estranged wife and the man she was seeing.
The jury deliberated for about 75 minutes before handing down the verdict just before 10 p.m. Monday night, according to online court records.
Tuinstra was also convicted of a stalking count.
No sentencing date was set. He faces two mandatory life prison terms, with the judge deciding if or when Tuinstra will first be eligible for parole.
Police said Melissa Tuinstra and Daniels had been dating for a couple of weeks when Nicholas Tuinstra shot them on Sept. 27, 2014 in Berlin. She had recently filed for divorce.
