UNDATED (WTAQ) – People who’ve watched the popular Netflix series “Making a Murderer” can now go online and view files from the 2007 murder trial of Steven Avery.
Fans of the series have started posting online some of the files from the trial, which convicted Avery of the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach. A separate trial convicted his nephew Brendan Dassey of his role in the murder.
Among the files posted online are transcripts from the trial, evidence photos and other documents.
According to the website: It was “created in January 2016 by Skipp Topp and friends … Like many others, we became aware of and interested in the Steven Avery case after seeing the very popular Netflix series Making a Murderer, and we wanted to know more about what really happened in the trial.”
The website claims that organizers conducted a public fundraising campaign to pay for copies of the documents.
