The DePaul Blue Demons won their first Big East conference game of the season at the expense of the Marquette Golden Eagles Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center 57-56. The game was close throughout and Duane Wilson capped his 19 point night with an offensive rebound basket with 8.4 seconds to play,giving the Golden Eagles a 56-54 lead. De Paul’s Billy Garrett Jr then drove into the middle of the lane, made a bakset and got fouled by Luke Fisher. He completed the three point play with 1.1 remaining and lifted DePaul to it’s first win over Marquette in Milwaukee since 2000. The Golden Eagles slip to 2-5 in conference play, 12-7 overall.
