GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Green Bay residents are being reminded to protect themselves following a string of burglaries on the city’s west side this month.
Green Bay Police have received several reports of cars being broken into, along with garages and unlocked buildings being entered.
Police say that victims tell them the crimes are happening at night.

Green Bay Police say these are some crime prevention tips to avoid being a victim of a theft or burglary:
- Lock your car doors, garages, and out buildings
- Keep yard lights on
- Park your vehicles inside or in areas that are well light
- Get to know your neighbors and together watch out for one another
- Call the police if you see something suspicious.
Residents should also be aware of any footprints in the snow around their homes or vehicles that shouldn’t be there. There’s a photo above that has a footprint of a suspect around a victim’s house.
