Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – A 32 year old Neenah man is in the Brown County jail, facing charges that could send him to prison for decades. Phillip Michael Sendek is alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with a 5 year old girl, the daughter of his former girlfriend.
The victim lives with her mother in a Ledgeview apartment. The criminal complaint says the mother had gone out to the store one day in late October and left her daughter with Sendek. It was after that her daughter began acting out at school, getting very angry and having panic attacks.
It was also around that time that the relationship between the mother and Sendek ended.
A few weeks later the victim told her mother that Sendek had been touching her. The mother called the Brown County Sheriff’s Department and the investigation was underway, which included more interviews with detectives and someone from the Child Advocacy Center.
Sendek was arrested and booked into jail January 12th. He’s facing a charge of 1st degree sexual assault of a child. Sendek will be in Brown County Circuit Court on Thursday.
