GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A Brown County judge has approved a request to delay the trial of a former sheriff’s deputy charged with stealing funds from the D.A.R.E. program.
In court Monday, attorneys for Kevin Vanden Heuvel got their request approved so that they could review new evidence in the case.
Vanden Heuvel’s trial, scheduled to begin Wednesday, will now start on March 23.
Vanden Heuvel and another man are charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars over years from the D.A.R.E. fund, by selling fake parking passes for home Packers games.
