GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) – A family fun center in the Fox Valley abruptly closed Wednesday, but it’s not clear why.
Funset Boulevard at 3916 W. College Avenue shut their doors due to what employees say were structural issues related to this week’s winter storm.
In a statement e-mailed to WTAQ from Marcus Theatres:
“Due to roofing damage sustained during the recent snowstorm, Marcus Theatres has made the decision to temporarily close Funset Boulevard, pending further evaluation and repairs. Contractors and professionals have been called to the site to conduct a thorough assessment of the situation. It will be reopened as soon as it is appropriate to do so. The adjacent Hollywood Cinema, a separate building with 14 movie auditoriums, is unaffected and will remain open for business.”
Grand Chute police, fire and building inspection departments said they were not aware of the closing and had no information to share.
