UNDATED (WTAQ) – Lots of Wisconsinites could not wait for the new snow to arrive, because more snowmobile trails are about to open.
Vilas County plans to open its trails Wednesday — but officials say riders must watch for wet and icy spots, and not ride on the lakes until it gets colder.
Travel Wisconsin.Com says parts of Iron, Ashland, Bayfield, Sawyer, Price, and Burnett counties had at least some of their trails open even before the new snow the past couple days.
Meanwhile, we’re getting larger snow totals from Monday’s storm — which was clearing out Tuesday morning.
Sturgeon Bay in Door County picked up 13-and-a-half inches, Tomah in western Wisconsin got 12 inches, and Madison received just over 6 inches.
