GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – His family says Hall of Fame quarterback Bart Starr has undergone a second round of stem cell treatments.
Starr has been having the experimental medical procedure in Mexico as he works toward attending a Lambeau Field ceremony November 26th.
Brett Favre will have his number 4 jersey retired at halftime of that game.
Starr has suffered two strokes and a heart attack in the last year. The treatments involve neural stem cells being inserted in his spine.
Starr is now 81 years old. He played for the Packers from 1956 to 1971.
