Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – The 27th Annual Give-A-Kid-A-Book is underway in Brown County.
The campaign, running through December 10th, is designed to promote reading for kids from low income homes.
Molly Crosby, wife of Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, is part of the team.
She calls the committee behind this campaign focused on the goal…getting books into the hands of kids.
The goal this year is to collect 10-thousand books.
Jamie Leick (like) is the campaign chair.
She says studies shows kids who have their own books read more often and score better on standardized tests.
Bins to drop off kids books are located at all Brown County Library branches, and many Nicolet Bank locations.
The Reader’s Loft offers a discount on books purchased for Give-Kid-A-Book
Books may also be purchased at Barnes & Noble and donated to the campaign right at the store.
Cash donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase additional books
