OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) – Oshkosh fire officials say they knew there was a good chance the flames they put out Friday night might start burning again.
That’s why they left their hoses in place.
First responders were called at about 10:30 p.m. the first time to Swanson Wiper Corporation. At one point, a portion of the building collapsed.
An Oshkosh police officer noticed the fire had flared up again Saturday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m. Crews came back out and knocked it down again.
Several buildings at the location were heavily damaged. The investigation into the cause of the fire is to start Sunday.
