GILLETT, WI (WTAQ) – Two Gillett teens told police it was all a prank, and it went wrong.
A teacher at Gillett Secondary School is hospitalized after being poisoned Tuesday afternoon. Police say the teacher noticed a strange odor coming from a bottle of soda he had left unattended.
Authorities talked with a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, who say they dumped a small amount of cleaning solution into the bottle.
The teacher’s current condition is unknown after being treated at a hospital.
Citing privacy matters, police and school officials are refusing to answer more questions.
