(WNFL) – Green Bay Packers’ receivers Jared Abbrederis and Jeff Janis have not played much this season, despite the long-term injuries to Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams. Rookie Ty Montgomery has been on the field for 98-percent of the Packers’ offensive plays in the first five weeks. Veteran James Jones has taken 92-percent of the snaps, and Randall Cobb 87-percent. With Andrew Quarless out, tight end Richard Rodgers has been on the field 94-percent of the time. Janis has been pretty much limited to special teams, while Abbrederis was only on the field for a kneel-down at the end of Sunday’s home win over Saint Louis. Packers’ offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett says it’s just a matter of time before Janis and Abbrederis get their chances — and when they do, Bennett says they’ll “make the most of their opportunities.” The Packer players are off today. They’ll start practicing tomorrow for Sunday’s home contest against San Diego.
