APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – A man was critically injured after a crash Wednesday morning in the Fox Valley.
Authorities responded to the two-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 441 near E. College Avenue at 5:09 a.m.
A 62-year-old Kaukauna man was driving an SUV ahead of a minivan that was driven by an 84-year-old man, in the right hand lane.
Investigators say the SUV changed lanes and both vehicles collided. The crash sent the minivan over the embankment, between the College Ave. on-ramp and Highway 441, causing it to roll several times.
The minivan driver suffered life-threatening injuries, while the SUV driver was not hurt.
Authorities closed that part of the highway for nearly 4 hours to reconstruct the crash.
Appleton police are asking anyone who was in the area and noticed that either vehicle was having any type of issue to call Sgt. Brian Leitzinger at (920) 832-5541.
