WAUSAU, WI (WTAQ) – It appears that an alleged high volume heroin dealer in central Wisconsin won’t be in court for a while.
A Marathon County court proceeding for 24-year-old Melvin Dunomes of Milwaukee was held up Thursday, because he allegedly violated a previous probation that might have to be settled first.
Dunomes was released from jail in May, and was put on probation after convictions in Milwaukee County for possessing cocaine, marijuana, and a concealed weapon. Now, he may have to serve an extra year behind bars for breaking the terms of the probation.
Online court records list a new civil complaint, but no criminal charges after Dunomes was arrested Tuesday night in Marshfield.
Police say they caught him with $80,000 worth of heroin, the largest such arrest in the city’s history. A Marathon County sheriff’s unit investigated the case for the previous year.
