MADISON, WI (WTAQ) – The Wisconsin Capitol rotunda will be closed for a month beginning Monday so repairs to the interior dome can be completed.
The state Department of Administration notified Capitol occupants Wednesday about the limited access.
The ground and first floors of the Capitol rotunda will be closed from Monday until November 10th. Those two floors in the rotunda are popular gathering places for school concerts, news conferences, Red Cross blood drives and other events.
Protesters have been holding nearly daily sing-a-longs there since 2011.
Repairs between the interior and exterior Capitol dome are scheduled to continue until the middle of January of 2016.
