APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Police in Appleton are looking to return a combat medal recovered from burglary suspects to their rightful owner.
Authorities say 24-year-old Chad Muthig and 20-year-old Cavalina Cobern were arrested around 6 a.m. on Saturday September 19. Both are facing multiple charges.
The pair mainly targeted unlocked vehicles, unlocked garages and homes west of N. Mason Street and north of W. Wisconsin Avenue early Saturday, according to police.
Police say Muthig and Cobern had many stolen items with them and authorities have been able to link many of them to people living on Appleton’s northwest side. However, officers are trying to find the owner of the medallion seen in the photo above.
Appleton Police say they’ve identified the owner of the compass.
