CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WTAQ) – Heavy rain caused temporary road closures in Chippewa County Thursday, but no road washouts were reported.
Chippewa County Highway Commissioner Bruce Stelzner said the heavy downpour and saturated soil caused high water in several parts of the county.
The affected areas were primarily in the northwestern part of Chippewa County and the Bloomer area. High water could also be seen on the south side of Bloomer.
The county closed multiple stretches of roads temporarily because of water over the road.
