Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – 8th District Congressman Reid Ribble moves out of the U-S capital, and behind the counter at a Green Bay Kwik Trip.
He’s not demoted….but is doing some research on proposed legislation that would impact your financial security.
Places where you swipe a card to pay for gas can be the target for identity thieves..
He thinks we’re moving to a place where a PIN and chip would be required when you fill up.
There’s also legislation that would require calorie labels on the sandwiches and snacks you buy at convenience stores.
All the way to things like pickles or mustard.
Ribble says that might be going too far.
And it shouldn’t be up to the stores to list the calories for condiments.
The National Association of Convenience Stores says stores, that sell fuel, serve about 11-hundred customers a day.
In 2013, the industry hit $695.5 billion in sales.
