NEW YORK (WTAQ) – Letroy Guion has been suspended without pay for the first three games of the 2015 season for his offseason arrest, losing his appeal in the case.
Guion was notified of the 3 game ban this week.
He was suspended by the league after an offseason arrest during which police seized more than $190,000 in cash, 357 grams of marijuana and an unloaded gun in his truck.
The Packers have been preparing themselves for a suspension ever since his arrest but were hoping for only a game or two after Guion paid a $5,000 fine in a plea deal to avoid prosecution.
Guion will lose nearly a half-million dollars in salary. He is projected as a starting defensive end for the Packers.
