Green Bay, WI (WTAQ) – Wastewater treatment isn’t something many – if any – want to talk about.
But the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District is.
With the turn of a shovel in a pile of dirt at a ceremonial groundbreaking Tuesday morning, the R2E2 project is setting out to better handle the dirty details.
The $169 million project will sit on the grounds of NEW Water, near the mouth of the Fox River.
Once complete in the second-half of 2018, it will meet stricter regulations, increase capacity and replace aging facilities.
