BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) – Members of a firefighters union in Bellevue reached a “vote of no confidence” for Bellevue’s Fire Chief Brad Muller and the unit’s Assistant Fire Chief.
The Village of Bellevue says it was informed August 7 of the vote by the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 141.
Village leaders say they were not informed of the vote beforehand, and they do not know if a majority of firefighters were involved in the vote.
The union alleges misconduct against Chief Muller, who was named to the position in 2012. Muller has been accused of repeated safety violations and using offensive language around crew members.
A “vote of no confidence” does not require any action from the village.
