GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – One person is dead and another person injured in an SUV versus house crash in Green Bay Friday morning.
Green Bay police say the accident happened in the 1400 block of East Mason St. around 6 a.m.
The vehicle was going east when it veered into oncoming traffic and hit a house. It also struck a natural gas meter, causing a gas leak. Nearby residents had to be evacuated for a short time.
Police say it appears alcohol was a factor.
On Friday afternoon, police identified the deceased driver as 26-year-old James Buss. The passenger in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
